last week i took the kids to ross park aquatic center with my friend steph and her two kids. i had just put the boys in a two-week swimming lesson course at our local aquatic center so i was excited to see how they would do.
this was madalyn's first experience "swimming" and she really LOVED the kiddy pool. she would just crawl back and forth and back and forth.
she looked so adorable in her new suit
wesley LOVED swimming lessons and his two instructors loved him even more. he started them very apprehensively and then became quite fearless! because he was so much shorter than the other students most of the time he was having to tread water just to keep his head up. but, by the end of the two-weeks he became afraid of dunking his face in the water. he still does his "tiger arms" quite well but he doesn't enjoy putting his head or face under water.
he enjoyed this swimming trip least of all. but, he did manage to have a good time just cruising around on his belly in the shallow water. he didn't want anything to do with the swings, slides, or water fountains. maybe next time?!

owen was our little fish! he was apprehensive too about swimming lessons but is now pretty brave and has no problems floating or dunking his face or head in the water.
he REALLY enjoyed swimming at ross park. in fact, i rarely saw him. he stayed out in the kiddy pool the entire time thoroughly enjoying everything it had to offer.

Yay for swimming! I'm glad the boys had lessons and enjoyed it for the most part! Madalyn is a doll in her suit!
Ah man! We were there last week too! Wish we could have met you there! Your kids are so darn cute!
