a bridal shower for dani

 my sisters and i put the games together. the day before we painted little chalkboards for each of the guests to use for the games.

 the first game began before anyone really knew what was happening. we did the "purse dump". katie recruited a friend to show up at the shower just as it was starting, sit down, and as we were doing introductions she stood up and excused herself by saying that she was at the wrong shower and was so embarrassed. then, as she was leaving she "accidentally" spilled her purse.

 

 

as soon as she was gone and everyone was able to sit in shock for a moment we told them that the first game was to write down on their chalkboard as many items from her purse as they could remember. she had a lot of CRAZY things in that purse so that made it extra fun! the shock on everyone's face was the very best part.

then...we ATE!

and the food was plentiful and delicious!

after we ate we played the other two games we had planned. we played "he said she said" a game where we   read something that either the bride or the groom said and they have to write on their board who they think said it. it was so fun doing the interview with the bride and groom to get all these questions! and the game turned out great. 

then we also played wedding wits and wagers. we made this up. natalie found some really great wedding trivia and we asked people to guess the closest answer without going over. 

the weather turned out great and we had such a fun time celebrating dani and derek!
now if i could just figure out a way to get to their wedding in august. ;)
