a bridal shower for dani

the second weekend in june the females in our family helped our aunt janice put on a bridal shower for her soon to be daughter-in-law, dani. she is engaged to our cousin derek. my mom was the hostess which meant that all of her daughters would be expected to help. ;)

it is so fun to do anything with our aunt janice (my mom's sister) and mom and this was no exception. they put together a lovely luncheon/shower for dani.

janice lives in california. but, she has three of her kids attending Utah State so they bought a home in Logan for them all to live in. so, the shower was held in their backyard.

the theme was chalkboards with an old fashioned country twist.

i was in charge of the chalkboard art. i didn't realize i had any creativity in me. but, i pulled through. ;) 

cotton candy for all the guests

my sisters and i put together these little chalkboards. we used them to play the shower games. i wish i had pictures of the guests using them. janice also painstakingly painted these adorable clothespins to look like a bride and groom to give to each guest.

emily did the flower arrangements

we served lemonade in these adorable little mason jars that janice put together. that is chalkboard paint on the front so the guest could write their name on their jars.
