holley/gregg manwaring family reunion

jarom and elena hosted the gregg manwaring family reunion this year and decided to combine it with the holley manwaring reunion. we had all the siblings except for melissa's family. we missed not seeing all of them!

the fun started thursday night at jarom and elena's home. we all brought a treat to share and made our t shirts and family flag for saturday's festivities. we also enjoyed smores and a fire in their back yard.

friday morning we all met at ijump for some private jumping fun! plus we had doughnuts and juice to boot! it was a great way to play all together. kids and adults loved it alike!

we had any contest you could think of in this trampoline house. it was a ton of fun! then we met up for lunch in the park and had some water festivities. human battleship included.

friday night we had a chapel session and endowment session with the extended family at the temple. it was great to be there with everyone.

saturday morning we met at freeman park for the extended family fun. the brett manwaring's were in charge and put on a great day for us all. we had a yummy breakfast and then it was time to start the highland games. brett and sue served a mission in scotland so they had a lot of fun ideas for this reunion.

we started, as tradition goes with highland games, with a "march of the clans".  each family was asked to create a flag and we marched around the park a time or two behind a guy playing the bagpipes in his kilt. our clan, the "mcgregors", wore our matching shirts with our family tree printed on it. elena did a great job creating them.

this young man with the bag pipes served with brett and sue in scotland and was so awesome to come do this at the reunion. his wife would even do a little scottish jig every once in awhile. we got quite a few stares but really enjoyed it. :)

then, it was off to compete.
