family home evening at our house
i just had to snap this picture the other night.
we hold our family home evenings on sunday nights (because kevin works late on mondays) and it can be quite comical.
we begin with a song from church that the kids know. usually "i am a child of God" or "Jesus wants me for a sunbeam" which madalyn and wesley both lead.
owen will usually say the prayer and is always sure to bless the treats.
then we read a book of mormon story followed by a discussion.
we ask the kids to sit on the floor in front of kevin and about 30 seconds in this is how it looks. EVERY.TIME!
they love their dad, they love learning about the book of mormon, and they love treats!
its a win win situation. :)

I love your family.. you are such an amazing example to all of us!
So cute!
Monday is Kendall's FAVORITE day. He reminds us that it is FHE.
I love the picture scriptures as well. We have been reading them nightly to Kendall for quite some time; he will NOT go to bed without reading two pages. It is amazing how he can recall the stories as we are reading the "longer version" as a family at the dinner table. His older siblings are shocked to hear him recount the stories as we ask questions before we read the chapter in the BOM.
Way to set a great example! Your children will remember.
So cute! What a great family. I'm so jealous that you even get FHE done! What cute kids.
