kevin surprised me with snow shoes for christmas and we were SO ANXIOUS to try them out. our friends, the allen's, were kind enough to take us out on our maiden voyage. we hiked the menan butte in rexburg, idaho (known as "R" mountain). the weather was -13 degrees when we got there. we thought we would FREEZE for sure. but, after about 5 minutes of climbing we were ready to shed layers.

we are so excited for our next outing. such a fun way to enjoy the snow!

Oh! my husband is so jealous right now:) He's been wanting snow shoes for a couple christmas' now but we just haven't done it. Maybe we need to, looks like a good time!
