It's a boy!

We went to our ultrasound appointment yesterday, and with the attached image we are quite sure this one is going to be a little boy! We are so thankful the baby checked out perfectly with all the measurements and tests and couldn't be more excited to welcome another little boy to our growing family. What a wonderful Christmas present!

Trick or Treat

Spending Halloweeen in Logan, UT made things especially exciting this year. We all loved the extra company that the Hollingsworths provided...and the extra entertainment. We started the Trick or Treating at the Logan mall and then after a delicious dinner of Cheese Soup in pumpkin-like bread bowls we hit a few of the houses in the neighborhood. Owen loved going door to door and filling his pumpkin with candy. It was so funny to watch him walk around with the girls. It was like watching E.T. move around!

Pumpkin Carving in Logan

Kevin started his clinical at the Logan Regional Hospital in Logan, UT for Physical Therapy School on October 30th. He will be helping out in Acute Care for 6 weeks so we are staying with my sister Katie. She only lives a couple blocks from the hosptial so it works out so well for us. We are so thankful to her and her family for their generosity.

We had a lot of fun Monday night with the Hollingsworths carving pumpkins and frosting cookies. Owen was a little freaked out by the jack o' lanterns.

Happy Birthday to...ME!

Sunday marked my 28th birthday! It's hard to believe that I am closer to 30 than 25. Oh well!

Kevin made the day extra special by cooking me a pancake breakfast. Then after church we went to my parents house for my favorite dinner--lasagna (courtesy of my mom) and cake and icecream. We were joined by my Grandma Manwaring, Elena, Alyssa, Halle, Carter, Kate, Emily& Brandon (better late than never), Staci, and Ben & Kaylin. What a perfect day!

Look at that breakfast!

Happy Birthday to me!

Say hello!

It's official! All the signs were there...sinks plugged because of hairloss, saltines became a part of my daily diet, nausea was my constant companion, and naptimes were a must! We were pretty sure what the diagnosis was but we wanted a picture for proof. So, here it is. Baby number two on the way! May 10th is the estimated arrival date and we couldn't be more excited!

It's not easy being green

I hope it's not bad luck to show-off your Halloween costume before the big day, but I had share these pictures of Owen in his frog costume. We were so excited we had to throw him in it as soon as we got home and take some pictures. The cutest darn frog ever!

Clean-Up...Owen style

Anytime we leave Owen without a shirt over his onsie he beings "stuffing". It's hillarious to see how many Little People, blocks, and balls he can fit into his little undershirt. I can't help but laugh every time I have to empty it out and see the contents. It's like a Mary Poppin's bag. We love it! Kids--endless entertainment.

State Fair

As tradition goes, we spent our Labor Day holiday in Blackfoot, ID at the Eastern Idaho State Fair. We joined my brother Jarom and his family in 6 hours of fun as we enjoyed exhibits, animals, people watching, and good food! Oh, the food! Mom and Dad joined us for the food portion of the day...corn dogs, tacos, icecream, hamburgers, soft drinks, scones, french fries, Tiger Ears...we enjoyed it all! And Owen was thrilled when Kevin won him the biggest stuffed animal we could find in the Basketball Toss. The best $5 we ever spent!

Camping with the Hansen's

We spent this last weekend of summer camping with Elise, Chis, Thomas, and Gordon in Logan, UT. We set up camp about 5 miles into Logan Canyon. Elise picked out a great spot with lots of shade and our own little marsh behind us. We all had a very enjoyable time eating and chatting the night away.

But the fun really began when we were all awakened at 2:30am by our trashbag falling to the ground and lots of (2) squealing raccoons. Anyone who knows how easily excited I get (especially while camping) knows how this could throw me over the edge. But, not more than an hour later the raccoons were joined by something MUCH larger. I swear that it grunted, growled, smashed pop cans, and even freaked out the raccoons. It roamed around and jumped in and out of the swamp long enough when I finally convinced Kevin to join me in a mad dash to our car (our only weapon being a flashlight). We never discovered what was in our camp that night (I honestly think that after watching me bolt out of our tent and dive into the car it had sufficient entertainment for the evening), but I slept peacefully in the car for the remainder of the night. It certainly "freaked our freak" (as Ellen DeGeneres would say)! Thank goodness for daylight!

Camping with Hansen's cont.

After watching Owen play in the dirt I was more than willing to let him "clean up" as he soaked himself in this cute little stream at the end of our hike. Rocks AND water...nothing makes Owen happier.

What a memorable camping trip! A great way to end camping season...wouldn't you agree Elise? Thanks for the memories. Posted by Picasa

Gregg Manwaring Family Reunion

This weekend we headed to American Fork, UT to attend our 5th Annual Gregg Manwaring Family Reunion. Melissa and Blake were in charge of the event this year and invited us all out to their hometown.

We camped in Granite Flats for two nights and played at Silver Lake. We all had a great time...especially the cousins.

Owen really enjoyed playing at the lake. He loved the idea of rocks and water so close together.

We all had so much fun playing on the lake.

I don't know why this picture turned out black and white. But here is a picture of most of the cousins playing with Uncle Brandon's famous glow sticks. It wouldn't be camping without them.
