our first snow shoe adventure

kevin surprised me with snow shoes for christmas and we were SO ANXIOUS to try them out. our friends, the allen's, were kind enough to take us out on our maiden voyage. we hiked the menan butte in rexburg, idaho (known as "R" mountain). the weather was -13 degrees when we got there. we thought we would FREEZE for sure. but, after about 5 minutes of climbing we were ready to shed layers.

we are so excited for our next outing. such a fun way to enjoy the snow!

earlier this month my sisters, mom, and i pulled off a last second, 12 hour adventure to logan, utah for some together time. it's always a miracle when we can pull off something like this so last minute.

i love these ladies! there is something to be said about sisters. we love, support, and forgive each other no matter what!

new year's eve

we had a quiet new year's eve AGAIN. i think we are getting old and boring.

BUT, we enjoyed each other. we let the kids pick an activity they wanted to do together.

afterward, we brought in the new year (at 10pm with new york) with noise makers and a toast.

 

we were all in bed by midnight.
