Happy Birthday Kevin!

Kevin turns 29 tomorrow...but since we will be in the midst of moving (and no internet until Monday) I thought I would post his birthday wish a day early.

I just hate to imagine life without Kevin. He brings me so much joy! And our boys COMPLETELY ADMIRE him!

We're moving!

Tonight we load all of our belongs into a UHAUL and move to Idaho Falls first thing in the morning. We couldn't be more excited about living even closer to my parents and siblings. It's fun to watch the excitement and confusion in Owen's face as we try to explain why we are packing up all of our things. He can't wait to live in Idaho Falls with Grandma, Papa, and Carter. But, I must say the anxiety of moving has really hit me. I can't stand sitting in the midst of packed boxes and not have anything to do but wait.



While I sit around anxiously the boys show me that they still know how to have fun. Who needs toys?

Wes is becoming mobile

Our smiley baby has discovered the world from a new perspective. He can roll or "walrus flop" (not quite a crawl) to just about anywhere he wants to go. It's so fun...and Owen is so proud of him.

He is no longer happy just sitting in the tub. He has to flip onto his belly and slid all over the tub. He loves it!

Nat turns 22!

Happy Birthday to my little sister, Natalie! She turns 22 today but she will always be Mom and Dad's baby.

Nat-we hope you party like a rock star tonight with your zebra heels on! You are FABULOUS and we love you! Sorry we can't make it to the big pizza party tonight.

Micah turns 1!

New Family Pictures

Earlier this month we had our family pictures taken on I.S.U.'s campus (since Kevin is graduating in May) and we have just now decided which ones we want to order. To me family pictures are a lot like getting my hair cut...I cry about it once I see the final product, but after a few days I grow to like it. Is anyone else like that?

When the photographer asked Owen to pose with his soccer ball this is what we got...no kidding. Isn't he a ham?

This one would be my favorite if you could see more of Owen. He would not cooperate and so we had to take what we could get. Behind us is the arch that new students walk through when they come to attend I.S.U. and then when they graduate they walk through the opposite way.

Hooked on television worked for Owen

Almost every afternoon as Owen is preparing himself for a peaceful slumber he usually will say some pretty funny things amid his tears (I know....I'm a mean mom). Most of the time he starts naming off his cousins, or he will quote songs. But, this afternoon he kept repeating "Help! Help! Ayudarme! Ayudarme!" At first I couldn't believe what I was hearing and so I kept listening and sure enough, he said it again...and again...and again. If anyone watches Dora or Go, Diego, Go! they know that this phrase is used ALOT. I just can't believe Owen has picked up on it. First he learned to count to Ten in Spanish and now he is learning every day words. All I have to say is hooked on television worked for Owen!

34 Years

My parents are celebrating their 34th Wedding Anniversary today! Happy Anniversary Mom & Dad! And thank you for being amazing examples to everyone on what a marriage should consist of...love, respect, and affection!

Happy Birthday Kaylin!

My sister-in-law, Kaylin, turns 24 today! Happy Birthday Kaylin! We are so glad to have you in our family. Sorry I had to post a picture of you pregnant...but, you do look REAL good in it. WE hope you have a fantastic day celebrating. We love ya!

Wesley's First Haircut

Saturday night Wesley received his first haircut courtesy of his Aunt Emmy! He had quite a comb-over on top so it was time to chop it off...but, it is always said to see that baby hair go.



And, of course Wes looks handsome has ever with his new haircut. Thanks Emily!

Kate turns 2!

Happy Birthday to my niece Kate! She turns 2 today! It's hard to believe that this little thing is 2...until you watch her "hold her own" with her older brother and boy cousins.

Halle (my niece) turns 7 today! I love this picture of her, because...it's so HER! She is a spunky little girl and says the darnedest things. And we love her for that. Plus, she's so darn cute. We hope you have a great day today Halle and enjoy your party! We love ya!

Hot Choc-o-late!

So, this fall my mother-in-law gave us one of the greatest books. It's called 52 Weeks of Family Night by Tamara Baggett. For anyone one with kids under the age of 5 and having a difficult time with FHE I STRONGLY recommend this little book. It makes FHE so painless and simple. Owen loves it!

Anyway, this past Monday night we had our quick, painless, and simple FHE lesson and then enjoyed some of Kevin's famous hot chocolate while we watched The Polar Express (I love this movie). It made for a really enjoyable evening. And Owen actually sat and watched the entire movie, which gives us hope that we might actually be able to take him to the theater to see a movie. HUGE MILESTONE.

Today my niece Samantha turns 10! It's hard to believe that she is growing up so fast. Sam holds an extra special place in every one's heart. She is a good girl, a great helper (little kids just flock to her), and she is extra smart. We hope you have a great birthday today Sam! We love ya!

It's moments like these that make being a mom so rewarding. Ahh, tender brotherly moments...but don't blink because they don't last too long!

The saddest face

Last week Owen was crying because he wanted some "monies" (he is fascinated with coins) and I told him no. He ran out to the living room and plopped his sobbing face right into a couch pillow next to Kevin. He stood there with is face laying perfectly still in the pillow for like 30 seconds...and created this masterpiece. Isn't this the saddest face you have ever seen?

Christmas Shopping

Owen is LOVING all the toy magazines that are flooding our mailbox this holiday season! When we get the mail and he finds a magazine he is quick to devour every page (with his eyes of course)! It's so fun to watch how excited he gets over the things he finds. Little does he know that we already have his Christmas shopping done...oh well, a boy can dream!

Today is my mother-in-law's, Carolyn's, birthday! It's sad that we are never able to be with her on her birthday, since she lives in Illinois, but we wanted to be sure that she knew we were thinking about her all day and hoping she is having a nice birthday!
